do any hubcaps fir onto any steels?

for example would mercedes hubcaps fit onto VW steels?

or do i need the same merc steels?

i thought they all clipped on the same way but dont wanna make a mistake.

Needs to be the same size steel wheel but yes I would imagine they would fit.

Why do it though??
