do clios have a torsion bar?

Car  52 1.2 clio
hi im driving a mk2 (i think) 52 plate authentique and my mate has a saxo and hes just had his lowered by a perfomance garage as his had a torsion bar. i was wondering with them both being french does the clio use a torsion bar or not?

the cars already been lowered but im looking to lower it down more

common on Peugeots and Citroens, and as Danny said the mk1 clio had one too. Means there's shocks on the back but no springs, a torsion bar is a beam across the wdth of the car which is in torsion (twisted) acting as a spring.

Torsion bars on saxo`s are shite! I had a saxo for 2 years and had to replace it twice cause of the bearings going! lol

sort of

If you look at a conventional torsion bar arrangement, they have ARBs and a torsion spring

Basically the beam is the ARB

The bearings only go when you start to lower them, it opens up a gap in the cup they sit in and grit ad debris gets in and f***s them, i went through 2 on my 106
