Do i need this block?

Hi, Im in the process of putting a posh battery terminal on my yellow top, to match the negative, However, I'm having trouble with the starter motor/alternator wiring.

AS you can see in the red square on this pic there is a plastic block, Do i need this, Or can i chop it off before here and just put the wires into my terminal?

On a car i recently sold, i chopped it off and it was fine.

However, this was the day before the guy collected it, so I couldn't tell you if it lasted/didn't blow anything up.

Seemed fine at the time tbh.

Its a fuse iirc.

(also you know your supposed to take the handle off the battery)

you need to push it down then sort of unhook it one side
