Just a different brand. Doesnt make any difference in bhp.

Bit like telling them you are using optimax.

Isnt it like telling them you now use like different tyres cos the contis were pants?

I told them yesterday I was fitting my new exhaust on my cup next week. Although its only a backbox and is not going to give me a perfromance advantage - ive told them it will and is a perfroamnce exhaust because I dont wnat to get caught out if I have an accident and the accessor looks at my car, sees a whopping Magnex Twin 3" backbox and says - "Thats not what it says on your insurance document mate!"

Might be worth calling them. If you declare it and costs a few quid. Hey Ho. We like our cars, and at the end of the day - better to be safe than sorry.

Si.

Your choice, if you want to run the risk of having voided insurance, personally I wouldnt want to take that risk!

I would personally tel them everything, if it doesnt increase performance chances are they will just make a note of it and that will be it.

^^ As Lunner said. I fitted front and rear strut braces to my Cup - no insurance premium increase. :)

It is a mod because its an aftermarket add-on and the panel filters do give you more bhp and make your car a little more responsive.

TELL THEM

Even if it gives you 3 more bhp then your insurance can make waves in not paying you out in the event of a crash.

Its a PERFORMANCE filter and costs £35+ to buy,if it did nothing then we would just buy £6 replacements.
