No mate, Deff not the Rev limiter. . . I very rarely go near it as there isnt much power at 6.5k and i like my cars engine

lol peak power is produced at 6500 rpm, but it probably drops away fairly quickly after that!

I have a K-tec with de-cat and I do get a kind of popping/bubbling noise as I decelerate from high revs with my foot very slightly on the gas (hard to explain). Loud-ish pops are achievable in this situation if u jab the accerator lightly. Ive had mates follow me while it was doing this and no reports of any flames.

IT DOES but its not like a big bang or that, just pops n pops a bit louder at times! mostly, i find it when its REALLY warmed up, and say u approach a junction, and brake, going down the gearbox, changin down into 2nd at low revs.........boom bang pop spluuter! YUM

there wasa mk2 1.2 16v at pod other week with a massive exhaust on, he was revving it on the spot and it was popping like nobodys business! i was quite supprised!

Injection cars dont pop like carbed cars simply becaue they dont fuel on overrun.

@ Renosport83 - take a look at the details of the london meet a fortnight today... ill likely be there and you can hear mine then. you wont scare anyone with pops and bangs, but it is a nice burbly popping noise when hot on over-run.

very early injection cars still slightly fuel on overun but in a sort of random pattern,hard to explain so you know what i mean. later more advanced injection systems cut injection completly until engine rpm reaches about 1500rpm.my mates got a ascar exhaust on his valver and that pops on overun although there are no flames.

what i mean by popping is that when ur on the way down thro the revs and tapping the accel pedal

This is becasue your adding a minute amount of load for the engine to read.

When your running on overrun above 1500rpm in a valver, turn off the engine and the noise doesnt change, as long as your not touching anything.

at 1500rpm you cna feel the engine kick the fueling back in as engine braking reduces and you can feel a small jolt.

It ill never sit there and burble and pop like a carbed engine unless you map it to.
