Do the AA carry fault code readers?

Just wondered if I was to call out the AA over my limp mode issues would they be able to plug in and see the fault codes?

Yes they do, albeit a laptop they can read faults on. Usually only for breakdowns at the roadside, they won't just call round your house for a free scan.

It depends which level of cover you have, but if you have home start then they should do, yes

I dont know of anyone local with an RS tuner unfortunately. Maybe I need to start going to local meets lol

I bought an RAC reader from argos earlier, its going back tomorrow ;)

Lol. I thought it seemed a bit pointless to buy one instead of waiting for the AA. But as you're taking it back, it all makes sense..
