Do the dealers ever ring you to confirm the brand new car is on its way.......

Sick b******s, i though they would have rang me by now, GT's due on the 3rd of november. The rents buy mercs every 3 years and the merc garage always ring a few times before its due to confirm its on schedule. Are renault dealers really this bad ?

I had my first call from the garage and the guy said (surprised) "Hello Mr Jasey - your car has arrived two weeks early - when do you want to collect it ?"

Renault money = Renault Service.

Merc money = Merc Service

That's how it works apparently :S

Mother rang about an hour later when i was out, left another message to have him ring back.

Double check its November 2009 and not 2010, they are that bad aye

Toyota were great, they keep me well informed before my truck arrived.

We have found toyota dealers to be excellent too with my mums Aygo, and any warranty work has been dealt with very well. Not to mention the free muffins everytime you go

I'm a long way off my delivery date yet, but when I ordered mine they mentioned they already had a LY on order for the showroom and when it comes in they'd let me me know so I could have a look. It arrived at the dealers on fri, they rang to tell me it was there on sat, if I wanted to look at it (they've already sold it too, won't leave the showroom till the end of the month)

I've bought one new car ever (a Clio), rang them the day before it was due (hadn't heard anything in 2 months since I ordered), they told me it had arrived 3 days ago!

It was still only on 6 miles, so at least they hadn't used it as a courtesy car or something.

We asked for it on the 3rd.


Its now due on the 25th of Nov.


I mean christ thanks for letting me know, i was about to start advertising my car FFS as i want to give the fucker about 3 weeks to fester interest and hopefully get a buyer. He said it could come about a month early but just in case they have to give that lead time, which is fair enough but f**king hell tell me whats going on please...........

It's not often I do this but to cut the stealers some slack I reckon it's probably Renault who don't have a clue when their orders will be built / shipped / arrive at the stealers etc.

Apart from the surprise arrival of my car the stealer that I was dealing with was excellent :star:.

Urgh, my dad's looking at getting a new car at the moment too, clio GT is on the cards for him TOO, was looking at a 106dci GT but the buggers sold, 09 plate with everything except the sat nav, 33 miles, £12K. Just been sat in it, URGH i cant wait to get mine. Regretting not getting the reach adjusatable steering column now !

The guy at the dealership is a wanker, mother seems royally pissed off at the fact that we might end up having to wait another 6 weeks, and the guy turned round to her saying "oh its only an extra 6 weeks"

Here's a little life lesson I've learnt .

If you assume that everyone you have to deal with in life is a complete r****d you wont get too upset when they continually prove you right - you are just warmly satisfied that your theory is correct again .

The flip side is that when someone manages to get something right you are really happy

then you become nothing more than a statistic...now its your problem to solve.

when ever I've order mine, on the third now, there was always a letter saying the expected date. and then a phone call when it's in. last one was two weeks early, which was nice.

TBH I dont want a call every week telling me it's not there yet.
