Does the clio 2 extreme 1.2 16v (2005) have an egr

Hi im looking for the egr on my clio. The emissions light comes on and off on the dash and im gonna try cleaning it see if that helps. Maybe this model doesnt have one. If anyone knows please help thanks.

If I'm right EGR available only on diesel engines. EGR- exhaust gas recirculation valve

You probably are right. Only I had one on my petrol vauxhall. Any idea what I could try to get rid of the emissions light before spending out on lambada sensors etc.

scan a ecm first to find out what is wrong,
by the way, petrol cars doesn't have egr valve. that systems calls somehow different and works in different way, there is separate air filter with little pomp which pomps air in to a exhaust system before cat converter ....

Ok so the light is off again now. I did put some system cleaner into the fuel a week or so ago. Maybe its kickin In. Dunno will see how it goes. Sounds like its either a faulty sensor or it needs a good blow out. A good thrash needed? With clothes or without?

Many petrol engines do have an EGR. The system you are referring to is a secondary air system (helps the cat converter to reach light off temperature earlier).

So does it have an egr or what? Thats what I thought cos my old vectra had one and I cleaned it. I think if it does have one thats defo the problem

ok, sorry, may bad but the thing is that i newer seen EGR on 1.2 16v or might be that i missed...
