The battery cover has gone! the air conditoning pipes are chromed uless they are the power steering ones!! new strut brace and a few new samcos at the front!

you polished the aircon pipes!!! you sad git!!! ;)

you need then left hand engine mount chromed and the fuel rail conduit needs to be changed to blue

oh and the TB needs to be polished too

  Abarth 500
stunning as always, seeing as you live so close to me, i might consider stealing your engine bits one by one each night this week lol

yup - all correct - also have blue hose clips holding the induction kit and Hose in place and have removed original air feed pipe going from the now non existant acoustic valve - just got to put my new one in place now

Theres always one - Engine mount is a load of hassle and can hardly see it - might get one second hand one day!, Fuel RAil conduit - I had run out of the small size so its coming off my wife's clio on Saturday! TB loads of hassle too - again might be an ebay purchase if one is cheap (any spares around fred?)

if anyone wants a set - the samco's are still available - £65 posted for the 2 I have fitted in the picture

yeah Im really pleased with them Maz - finish it nicely

Cheers for all the comments

think you should put the battery cover back on but without the stickers...

other than that...what can I say...I'm jealous...thumbs up from me!

can I just ask (stupid question alert) did you polish some fo those parts "in situ" or did you remove it all to polish it up?

alexbleubolt - they were there before

Yeah Im having a highly polished stainless cover made for me so no stickers will be going on that - well maybe one or two lol

Which sad geek gave you that idea!
- Yeah nice one Rich - I was going to say that but didnt think you would have remembered! still need some finishing but they look really good - not a lot I can do to the bay in that area so thats sorted it nicely

My mothers boy friend build boats and is a specialist sheet metal worker - hes supposed to be doing a few for me so they'll be for sale on here before long. Hes using my original as a template so will fit perfectly

With nearly everything else polsihed in the engine bay they are the finsihing touch.

the plenham was professionally polished and I did in between the letters by hand. The fuel rail guard is my second polished one - I dod the first one by hand but this one has had a lot of work done to it, again professionally

LOOKS the nuts, i'd like to get this done but its finding some one up in scotland to do it.

things like the air con pipes are easy - just buy some auto glym metal polish from halfords - I have tried 5 different metal polishes now and the Auto Glym gets the best finish by far

yeah course i do - passed 35000 miles this week - fitted all the new mods on tuesday then drove 150 miles yesterday - was bit dusty last night but 2 second wipe over and all is good again.

Tis a good job i'm wearing sun glasses Tim, that is one mighty bright engine bay. Would love to do this to mine but no point with all the sand that gets blown into the engine bay. Maybe when i'm home.

Quick questions

I polished my engine hoist last year, with the bad weather i have noticed little rust spots on it. How the hell do you stop them. Would i be best spraying some laquer over it or just keep slapping metal polish on it.

I would love to get the engine bay looking like that, the fuel rail cover is slowly getting there, and I have already polished the Air Con pipes.

awesome bay that
ps whats the IK sound like ? Still think the HP IK is best looking if your into engine bays

hill power induction kit sounds pretty good - I had a K&N then a pipercross before this and the K&N definately was louder but this sounds good to me. Power wise Dont really notice any difference other than on a cold day it pulls like fook compared to a hot day but I can live with that - most cars do that anyway.
Its basically a ram air filter inside a heat shield so nothing special but as said it looks good although its a pain to polish!

With regard to the engine hoist Im not sure what metal that it - I had mine chromed so stays looking tip top. The other parts do need the ocassional polish but only once a month for 10 mins.

Middo - picking your pipes up on saturday mate
