Donnington Track day 28/2/09

Great day yesterday, some very expensive machines. Poor from a photography point of view as the infield was closed and there were only 2/3 places to take pics really. That green rx7 spat 3 foot flames the whole way round! They have got a hell of a lot of work to do at donny as its a bit run down at the moment.

Very nice photos, looks like some nice slow shutter speed stuff (Chris will be pleased!)

Only criticism/comment is to watch the white balance with the different colour cars. Its a real pain in that arse but quite often the white/black cars will send the balance off or the metering off.

Particularly like the photo with the drivers eyes. Normally something only bikes give you.

But they are Pin sharp and better than alot of 'professional' photographer can produce.

Any of these with the tele-converter?

rex pic is nice, trust me having a rex and getting a flame like that on the regular gets boring after a while lol

you and ukaskew get very similar photos he is a good model to learn from though as it gives stunning pics like you have got! really shows the action and speed!

Lovely shots, plenty of movement and some nice angles. Love the Mk1 Clio shot, plenty of movement but pin sharp where it matters.

Only a month to go until I can start getting to some events, can't wait!

great stuff ! I saw that clio on the back of a trailor sat evening in Alvaston and wondered if it had been on track but assumed donningtom was shut due to work.. Fancy hoing there 1 day to practise with cam during a trackday myself. Any idea when they have days ?
