Door lock question - 172?

When I use my key to remote lock the door, only passenger door and tailgate had lock. Driver side has problem. I got to manually lock the driver side door. But, I can remote unlock all the doors.

I had changed my key's battery already. Any idea?

probably either a dodgy wire connection to the central locking actuator
a knackered central locking actuator
or a fault central locking control unit

oh and think yourself lucky... the 182's havent got a lock on the drivers side, only passenger side, which is a bit bizare?!

because they didnt bother moving the locks when they converted your 182 for the UK market.

Here's a question for someone...

What happens if your away from home in your 172 cup and the key remote fails. You think bugger, i'll just have to use the old key in door method. However, when you open the car this way, the alarm goes off as soon as you open the door and you won't be able to switch it off as the remote isn't working. Will the alarm stop if you start the car, or will it not start because the immobiliser is armed?

See where i'm coming from? Or am i talking complete and utter cr*p!?

think the system will disarm when you turn immobiliser off but not sure.... worth trying someone..?

I would try but the alarm makes your ears bleed if you go any where near it when its going off :clown:

When I say the driver side door is unlock and my passenger side had locked. I can just open the driver side door and the alarm will not go on.

Basically, I think I never heard how my alarm sounds??? But I think it may on if all door are locked and I open the bonnet.
