down sizing a bit...

  black gold 182
i currently have a fully spec'd up black gold 182 - i LOVE it
its so much fun to own in every way! but i want to move out now and could do with down sizing price wise a bit as its on finance, i dont wanna live on baked beans for the rest of my life lol.

i dont want to loose the fun facter so i want a 172 (cup ideally) or even a really early 172.

anyone else done this? is life really ok without all the goodies ive come to expect from a car; traction control, climate control, cruise control? or will it just not be the same anymore? should i leave the brand?

thanks chaps.

ha yeah that was another question, are they much quicker? well the cup anyway?
a 182 cup in peterborough pulled on me down a few nice roads...the git.

I dont expect you would notice unless you put the two next to each other and had a race. Its also a lucky dip with them it seems, some are good ones and some are not so good! Luck of the draw.

Trading up in the current climate is gonna cost you too much to make it worth while. Tesco sell packs of noodles for 8p each, hth?

Keep the 182, as said, unsure of the spec of your 182, but your not likely to gain
more than a grand or so, you know your car now, and its faults, you could end up with a kipper, the last thing you need when moving out is a car breaking down!
