Drive Shaft Fitment Question (Yes I've Searched :P)

  172 cup- suzu rf600r
Am looking for a pair for cup, the factors I went to list them as different for phase1/phase2 which I expected but show no difference for the cup model, the book did say ABS though.

So will these fit do you think? Presumably I can knock off the ABS ring as that's the only (I think) difference?

I searched but couldn't find an answer

With pattern parts the bearings break up leaving loads of little bits of metal floating round your gear box.

They are offering recon'd genuine, 2 years guarantee.

Just unsure if the ABS ring will be an issue? Alternatively they can recon my own but including postage that would take 3 days :-/

So the full fat 172 will not fit my 172 cup?

Is the lack of cup shafts due to the safety thing I read about on here somewhere?

If the FF won't fit I guess il get my own recon'd, or look out for low mileage second handers

What am I not listening to mate? They are (according to them) selling genuine reconditioned parts, 65 ish plus VAT each

My question is wether or not ABS ring equipped shafts will fit my cup, and im all ears for an answer bud :)

Ah are they? Yep iv looked under my cup but haven't seen the non cup version.

I'll maybe ask them about doing mine then

Im just bumping this as i was linked to it after looking at some shafts earlier

The one on the left is a mk1 16v so ignore that

mk1 16v - ph2 172 - removed from a ph2 172 - removed from a 172 cup today (not sure why it has an abs ring!)

All very similar, the one in the middle i removed from a non cup 172 but as you can see it doesn't have the bearing carrier and is thinner than the other 2 so i assume non genuine? so you must be able to get them from somewhere now, if its a cup one then it was fine whilst it was on the car (i drove it for about an hour).
