Drivers side window 172 ph1

When I put my drivers side window down a (not to bottom) when I stop it, it creaks, I pull it up slightly and it stops. Is this a bad thing? Is it doing my electric window any damage?

Its a common problem, mine does it and Id like to know the answer too. Ive tried greasing the slider rail and it still does it.
