right I'm most probably going to be slated for going to eurocrap parts to begin with but I've just got new shafts from them .. first of all I say there different ( shaft I had taken off had the bearing housing shaft they gave me was solid ) . I then had manager etc come out and tell me they fit plus another lad in there who had the same issue and said that they fit as he put them on his ph2 aswell ... first shaft lasted from bury to snetterton gate ... 2nd one lasted a whole 10meters before coming apart on full lock . They seem to short to me ! They seem to think it's "a bad batch !"

I'm sure I've read that they are too short from ECP. There's an ebay seller or similar that folks use.

Someone will be along I'm sure.

Thanks mate ... well I've got a full refund from them ATM and there looking into it . Just pissed to lose all my money on the track day aswell . Only positive thing I can take from this is that they didn't give up on full chat on the road or track !

Renault was selling the drivers shaft for £160 before being discontinued, ktec must have bough the last stock and upped the price by another £100!

Shaftec R218AR for non Cup PH2 172 with support bearing for UK drivers side.
Twice the price of J&R, but has done 20k beasted miles with no problem.

Nah just got a phone call saying he spent all day tracking one down and has found an original genuine drive shaft . Said it's on special order and will take 2 days to get here ... when it turns up if it's correct I'll post it on here so at least we know they can get the correct parts !

Still don't understand how the other driveshafts are meant to be fine ! This shaft was supposed to be double the price of the original one they gave me .

Just sent the company on the box an email asking prices etc. I wonder if they make them or are genuine Renault?

Not sure I did look aswell . I see they do some designed for motorsport etc . I'm not expert on them but it does look a lot better than the 2 I just gave back .

the inner boot is going to rub on the block.

and it's missing the s**t cover for the diff end as well.

I've just fitted the drive shaft .. it is close the block but not rubbing . There's no shakes or wobbles from anything . I'm taking it to a mates garage in the morning to get everything checked and tracking set up properly .

What cover is missing ? As it stands the shaft is mirror image of what the original one was I removed over a week ago ?

J&R supplied me with one piece driveshafts to suit, although I'm getting a sense of deja vu.

Yeah I had the one piece ... well 2 of them lol . Both come apart and shat them selfs ... I now finally have one identical to what came off in the first place . It seems fine ATM but will get on a ramp and have a look properly in the morning
