Driving and MOT’s

Whats the deal with being allowed to drive without an MOT?

it failed on a couple of minor things, rear brakes need loosening as it was stood for 2 months, and rack gaitor was split.

Basically I aint got time to fix it myself, as iv got an exam wednesday and need to spend all day revising.

So am I allowed to drive to the garage to let them sort it, before i take it back to the MOT place for a retest?

im off to a mates to revise who lives about 30mins away. was gonna drop it off at a garage near his place.

it has to be booked into a garage before u drive there, so that if u get tugged, u can say that you are on the way to get it sorted.
