Sorry if this is the wrong topic but need to find out the answers! lol!

Had a few lessons now, and have been thinking about that course thingymabob that you do in a week and have your test at the end. Obviously not now but at somepoint in the near future (oh dear this is turning into my window selling pitch) id like to do this..

Anyone done it before?? Whats the pass rate like??

And been looking at a few cars too.. i know ive been wanting the zed, but a mate of mine has just got a 1.poo and its actually pretty nice!!! :D

Not sure of the pass rate but I guess it depends if you are the type of person who can take lots of information in a short period of time.

  don't

looking in2 this for my misses as she needs 2 do it asap really

prob yellow pages best bet aswell

shes like u, had some lessons and knows basics, just needs 2 gain the confidence etc, lots in 1 go might help

think its a fair bit of ££ though, will have 2 research it asap and see what can be done

prices are shocking these days though

I was thinkin bout doing the intensive course but changed my mind due to £££ and stuck with the singular lessons. plus also ud still have to wait a while till you can get a test date.

Got my Test On monday hopefully Pass.

Id have thought it will be expensive and you will have to book a week well in advance to make sure that there is a test available etc..

If you dont mind paying for it then go for it. It will help to get as much practice as possible in before hand tho IMO, you dont want to be starting the week fresh and try to learn everything in five days

I did one, a full week in blackpool. year before last in sept.

i didnt like it much, guy was a total plank. car was nasty too.

i had to be up at five most days to be int he car for six.

cost about £900. but that was to stay at a hotel too.

PM if you want to natta about it.

they are crap imo

dont do one

if you want to learn how to control a car get a racing driver the teach you on a track of air feild.

you learn more and its ££ cheaper.

the best course by far is 1stlotus but he is well booked up but it is the best £150 you will ever spend.

do a air field day btw, not road course.

Yeah would be very interested in doing that after i pass.. heard it knocks a few ££ off your insurance too.. so could be handy!

Also my mate "apparantly" did a course with the police, got taught how to control the car in conditions like 60mph on ice etc, and it knocked his insurance for a VTS from 9k to £900? Said it cost him about 1k but in the long run made him a better driver if something was to happen in conditions like that i guess??

Ah i dunno!
