Dropping idle speed

  Ph1
Is it normal for the idle speed to drop when you turn the steering wheel say when parking??

If yes, is there anyway to adjust it so the revs maintain a constant level or near enough??

for a Ph1 172

Cheers

Seems to be dropping off quite a bit, say 100 - 150rpm roughly. Its a pain because i can raise the idle speed on the TB but then the cams get a hold and i have problems with the car reving up when say coming to a hault after a run. Just cant seem to adjust it so it idles decent but dosent rev up.

Its not a major prob but during the hot weather past, it was in a habbit of stalling randomly when parking.

Its the draw from the power steering pump, only way to sort it is to run manual steering. You'll notice whenever you turn anything on that draws enough ampage, the revs will drop.
