Drove my girlfriends 182

  Honda & VW
Just dropped my girlfriend off as she's off to her works Christmas do tonight.
I've driven it before a few times but only pootling around as she's always been in the car with me and she doesn't like going too fast:)

She got me to swear i'd steer clear of the shift light so i kept to my word but on the way back i thought i'd at least give it a bit of stick, so i did.

Wowey i was very impressed, i've had a Clio 172 Cup before my Integra Type-R and never really thought much of it but the 182 felt totally different.

When we bought it the car had a full Milltek system with decat pipe and an ecu remap (from Ktec i believe) and a pipercross viper induction kit. The only thing changed from this is the exhaust as she couldn't get insured with the Milltek on so got a custom one built at Longlife (they supplied us with a certificate for the ins company stating it's not performance inhancing -although they always give the wink after providing that.

I'm very tempted to get one now (LY ideally -would love RB but we can't have the same). Felt totally different drive to the Integra power seemed to always be there and much more torquey. (Not the place down Devon way):rasp:

182's are good

You certainly know how to make friends on a clio forum ;) lol

Ive heard that tegs feel gutless unless they're high up the rev range and on the boil. Nice cars none the less. Did the 182 feel small in comparison to the teg? I wouldnt mind a DC5 teg at some point.

In a straight line from stand still i would still back the Teg but if say both cars were doing 40-50 MPH then both hit the throttle i'd not be quite as confident.

Doesn't feel as fun as the Teg but great never the less, Teg is far more raw which i really like.
