DSLR Camera Stabilizer

Hey folks,

Just wondering if any of you are into video-ing(sp) things as well as taking stills...

If so, i'm looking to either purchase or DIY a camera stabilizer to get those "flying" -ish panning shots.

I've looked on youtube etc, but sourcing the same parts will be difficult/fairly expensive as most are done by the yanks. I dont think that a "steering wheel" stabilizer will remove that much camera shake, so i'm far mor interested in something like the "Steadicam"

There's two different types of equipment available, either a steadicam or a flycam

We've got a a steadicam at work, it was a pain in the arse to setup properly at first, its also not something you can pick up and be great at it straight away it takes alot of practice, I should imagine the glide cams much the same.

Your looking at the best part of £800 to get either.

yeah sorry, for £70 i wouldn't touch them. its probably a stick with a mount on the end. your probably best just diy for that cost.
