hi folks...

ps3 40GB... is it possible to MAKE it backwords compatible ie different firmware/patch software or does it need to be the 60gb rip off?

Different hardware was used in the 60gb. Hence the price.
Better off just buying a ps2 for 30 odd quid! and spending the rest on a ps3 40gb.

tbh mate once you've played a ps3 you wont want backwards compatable lol.

Played a couple of ps2 games onmy ps3 and they aint up to much

each to their own but i've recently re-played final fantasy 7 from psx and resident evil 4 from PS2, still both amazing games.
