Clio 182
Morning everyone!
Just got my car back from the garage yesterday (was in for accident repair, completely my fault!...oops!
) but wasn't entirely happy with the level of service I received throughout and the job wasn't amazing either.
One thing they did do (without my approval
)is fit a Dunlop SP Sport 2000 on the front-off side rather than the original Michelin Pilot.
I signed to release the car as i've been waiting for over 3 weeks to get it back (was supposed to be 2 orignally) but i've raised a complaint with insurance about it (and a couple of other niggly points!) so am HOPING to get it changed.
They managed to replace the rear tyre with a Michelin but their excuse for the front was their supplier didn't have any in stock, rubbish excuse if you ask me, they had 3 b****rd weeks to get one in!
Its the principle of not replacing like for like (and without asking!) that has annoyed me the most.
The point of the thread really though is to see if any other 1*2 owners actually use the dunlops as a preffered tyre? Also is the fact that 1 tyre out of 4 is different to the rest likely to affect any driving or tyre wear characteristics in any way?
