DVD headunit fitting help..?

I bought a dvd headunit last night i have fitted it however when i come to connect the aerial wire for the radio they are different.
Some one has cut the plug off the headunit and used a bullet connector, can i cut the end of the aerial wire and put a connector on it?

From what I understand from what you've put, I think maybe you mean one of these aerial adaptors?:

That fits to your car aerial cable and then directly into the back of the headunit?

no thats not going to work , an aerial shouldnt have a bullet connecter on

Is that wire coming from the headunit?
Or are you trying to plug it into the headunit?

wire from the hu has the bullet connector on it

Usually the aerial from your car plugs directly into the headunit, seperate from the other wiring loom with all the wires in it.
Is there not a hole you can plug your car's aerial wire into (you may need the adaptor above), rather than connecting it to a wire in the loom?

Nope, where you normally plug the aerial into thats been butchered with a bullet connector but the aerial wire on the loom is all intact

I'm afraid I'm not sure then lol as most car aerials plug in a port like the round one here so I thought maybe you didn't have the right wire you were trying to connect it to:
