dvds onto ipod

hey,
recently got a video ipod 80gb for birthday n am havin truble puttin dvds on it, culd sum1 explain how 2 do this and wat programme they used

I have used a programm called AveX DVD recorder or something. It allows you to record a DVD to a .mov file which you can then import with iTunes.
Set it up for a friend. Appears to work, but takes ages to record a DVD, over an hour.

On my Mac I use Handbrake to convert them. There is a Windows version as well.

it takes forever to put dvd's on the ipod from disc, and they also end up in seperate files!

best thing to do is download them off the net already converted into mp4 format.

websites like podtroplis is the site of choice.
