DVLA mileage/finance on HPI check

Ive just ran an 05 car through HPI, its come back owing money. I have checked with them and I can pay this over the phone no problems.

Next thing is the mileage, I input 34000, it came back saying "The mileage reading you have entered is inconsistent with other data currently held on the National Mileage register"

It goes on to say in December 2006, it had 217000 miles, which I would put money on being wrong. However, can this be adjusted to the correct amount?

Also this date would have been when he purchased the car from Renault, so I doubt very much its accurate

I think the mileage check is very inaccuarate i dont think its the kind of car to be covering this kind of mileage!

Maybe try www.mycarcheck.com

I done this on my 172 and everything was spot on.

Possibly a typo on the mileage.
