Dyno Results

Had my car dyno'd today at RS Tuning's rather expensive new dyno dynamics rr. Its an impressive setup and im aware its incredibly accurate.

Have to say im impressed with the results.

Its a 96 valver with over 100k on the clock.

Mods are:
a power sapping open hill power induction kit (for the noise!)
Magnex cat back
Silenced de-cat.

Considering its age and mileage im chuffed :D

133 at the fly, 108 atw. Both me and Paul were impressed with the smooth power and torque curves.

Thanks to Paul who answered any questions i had!

How much did the RR test set you back Topgeartom?

Paul charges £50 for a power run. He'll do at least 2 run's until there is less than 1bhp diference between the two. Equipment is incredibly accurate however, i had 3 runs and all were within .1 of a bhp of each other.

Well worth the money imo.

When it comes to a measuring device, accuracy and repeatability are two completely different things.

Repeatability means it gives a consistent result. If you keep measuring the same thing it keeps giving the same answer.

Accuracy means that answer is the correct result.

A measuring device can't give accurate results without giving repeatable results. But it can give repeatable results that aren't accurate.

£50?

ouch!

That's cheap;)

We provide full air fuel ratio data so it's not a case of just run the car once and pull it ack off like some companies do!

I know alot of other places with DD rollers and they charge £65+ VAT for the same thing

Why is this place a breeding ground for petty arguments?

There should be a disclaimer on the site somewhere that states that anything you say will be scrutinised and rubbished at all cost.

I give up.
