Earth for amp HELP!!

Where did you connect the earth to i.e other end from amp? MK2 172

ive put mine to the rear seat belt buckel bolt. dremeled the paint off it and bolted it down nice and tight

I used the same place minus the dremel work. Was getting a good enough earth without grinding paint off.

nice big drill, make a lovely hole in the boot floor, seal it properly once the bolt holding the earth is fitted

but then, ive always gone a little too far with car audio fitting

^sounds like it too! why not just use an existing bolt?the resistance is always ok

mine is too the bar thing that goes along the back of the boot. underneath the one bolt.

clarkie, prefer to have individual mounts, that way i know where each and every problem may occur

always gave each amp its own earth too

i thought that doing multiple grounds by earthing each amp individually can cause something called a ground loop???? i may be talking rubbish
