Earths...

Where are the main earths on 182's? I have a problem when I use the brakes, indicate or engage reverse the sidelight light on the dashboard lights up (it even flashes with the indicators). It's never actually worked but the sidelights have so I never bothered investigating it but now it's started doing this I feel I should. The symptoms to me seen like a bad earth but where do I start?

this has been covered plenty here, normally a problem with the earths on the rear light clusters, if you pull the carpet back behind the clusters in the boot you will see a thin wire going to a weld nut on the body, give this a clean and it will normally sort out your problems... ( although it didn't solve my problems and I had to put LED bulbs in to stop the shorting out) its a good idea to give all the plugs and contacts a clean while you there
