Easiest way to remove a 182 standard exhaust?

As above, getting my new exhaust fitted tomorrow but they said the only way to remove the existing one would be to cut it and weld a joint back on as dropping the rear axel would be alot more work?

Renault do a joint kit for them, theres a section near the axle that is straight where you cut them bang in the middle.

I got mine off, in one peice on the drive on axle stands, first time I'd ever taken one off to, tis easy tbh.

To drop the axle you undue 2 bolts.

Thats what he suggested. I'm giving the exhaust to a friend so want a good job for him, the guy in the garage said he could just cut it and weld it straight back with a joint on is this the same thing?

JUst drop the rear beam. It's only two bolts that hold the shocks on. Undo those, and let the beam hang down enough to remove.

I did hear, that should be easier on a ramp aswell...

drop the beam, then pull the system half way out ( until it gets tight for space) then turn it over and pull it out the rest of the way. I've never understood this cutting and sleeving lark, the sleeves have been blowing on ever one i've seen fitted.

why would you cut the f**king thing off when you can drop the beam in the time it takes you to plug your angle grinder in?!

Explained this too him and he said he'll have a look he said if its not as simple as it sounds it could take hours...
