eazibleed...again

ok ben, got the seal nice and tight this time! had to change both rear cylinders and shoes (and o/s brake pipe), put it all together and went to bleed them today...but the sh*tty damn kit doesnt seem to have enough pressure to push through properly...on the fronts its fine, comes out nicely, but on either of the rears the flow is really slow, and gets to a point where the air starts to come out of the bleed nipple, but never actually makes it to the bottom of the tube to be expelled! ive tried with 3 spare tyres, at up to the max 1.4 bar, and still no joy!

oh and tried the old man method of having 2 people doing it, sheesh youre right its hard work, but ive now run out of extra men and brake fluid till tomorrow, b****cks to cars.

does this usually happen on eazibleeds? have i done anything wrong?

have you got the catch bottle higher up than the level of your nipple..........itll help the bubbles from floating back up to the nipple.

Is it all open properly on the rears?

no i didnt, but my "catch bottle" is just a pint glass so its gonna be quite hard! ill try and make a hole in a jamjar or sommit to fix that one - the thing is, after a while no more air comes through or anything, my understanding is that you should keep it open till its clear unbroken liquid...well it sorta grinds to a halt at the air bit!

pretty sure its all open at the back, turned round 720deg should be enough.

might i have a dodgy kit?

erm, not the kit i dont think.

just place the pint glass on a stool or something, as long as the pipe goes up before down so bubbles can rise.

You keep going till clean new fluid can be seen with no more bubbles pasing through, pump teh pedal 2 or 3 times slowy at the same time jsut to make sure.

i dont understand it grinding to a halt!?

neither do i! ok my words may have confused, what happens is that from the moment you open the nipple, you will get an initial flow of fluid, then it slows to a trickle, then large air bubbles start to come through the pipe, instead of any liquid. i.e. its completely air. this slowly moves along the pipe until it too stops moving and im left with a bit of fluid at the end of the pipe and about 2/3rds of the pipe full of air, which wont move! can i pump the pedal at the same time as this you say? this may "jump start" the pressure and flow again?

you can pump at the same time, the mastercylinder will just cut off flow from the canister momentarily, no harm done.

cool, ill try that, one more thing, having completely air running through the pipe, not normal? or to be expected after changing cyclinders? cheers for your help mate.
