145 Miles for me :/

Good price considering, 2nd hand bumper and sprayed bonnet will make it 3k all in(ish).

Dont forget the wheel referb and putting that exhaust right!

Am I the only one who's taken any notice of how many miles the things done!?

The mileage would mean very little if it has been looked after properly. Its the lack of service history that would worry me.

I wouldnt have an issue with buying one of these that had covered 100k+ as long as i knew it had been looked after.

Still, at that price i think it would be worth the risk

So the Clio engines on the whole are reliable?

80000miles. They'd be average miles for a 51reg, 12000 a year on a 7 year old car.

If it was closer i'd be tempted to go take a look just to meet the owner, mind you if I did, knowing my luck it would probably turn out to be a hairdresser who's had a falling out with his ex boyfriend!!

Not really any worse than anything else, but they can be a nightmare if not looked after.

My Cup has only done 33k and its been well looked after so im not expecting any problems.

I used to work with a fella who had owned his 1994 16v since new. He always looked after it and had adhered to service intervals. It had done over 160k miles and was still perfectly serviceable.
The only problems he had encountered were a slipping clutch and a worn steering rack - both of which were expensive to fix. The engine itself was great though!

Part of the log book? Probably the envelope it came in.
Theres some sort of mark on the passenger seat inline with the graffiti on the bonnet, would probably get the £2.6k back by just 'weighing in' the seats down the local sperm bank.

Perhaps it was used by the local prostitue and her "clients" Or even a few Dogging sessions.
