  clio 182
alright guys was just wondering have any of you lot used ebc brakes on there clios if so any good?

  Evo
Used EBC greenstuff in my 1.4 with turbo grooved discs, worked very well!

EBC redstuff in my 197 atm with ktr discs, but unfortunately i dont rate em much in this application.

I have EBC green stuff on mine, don't really need them but fancied something other than standard pads, you can feel a difference even on standard disc's, but can be sqweeky at times

I'd rather put slices of Bernard matthews turkey ham in my calipers than use EBC again.

I can't disagree. Greenstuff were f**king toilet on the track.

Outlap 'Hmmmm not bad...'
1 lap 'Not bad at all...'
2 laps 'Ohh nice, they quite sharp actually. Nice when hot...'
2.5 laps 'Wuut!? Woahhhhh! Run off. Run offfffff...!1234

You really want Compbrake 4 pots.

I took it on track today and outbraked everything in sight!! Absolutely awesome!

I can't see me pouring much money into the panzer bean TBH. I think I'm just going to finally get a new car. I fancy a Clio 200 with Cup suspension. Uprate the pads for track, and it's good to go as an off the shelf track ready refined hatch.

^^^ Lol they'd have you believe that ay. Unfortunately the reality is the g.box used in the mk3 RS clios has wooden internals, or so it would seem.

Most cars that see any hard abuse or track work usually chew up their gears very quickly :(

  Evo
Afriad so mate, personally i've never had issues with mine, but its only got 2500miles on the clock and never been abused.

I known of cars with 20000miles to start grinding and eventually not go into gear at all.

Oh well, warranty FTW?

I can't think of anything else for the money that's as practical and refined, but is also so capable on a track?

  Evo
Yeah ppl just get new ones fitted on warranty no problem.

Havent driven the new 'improved' clio RS but if you've never driven the 197 i can tell you its a fantastic car, you'd luv it.

So much mechanical grip and the brakes could crease the road

Yeah I've driven a 197. They are amazing cars. Got my eye on the 200 despite hating the new styling.

Delivered. Braided hoses. Racing fluid. Run in. Racing pads. Track.

you boys must LOVE the middle pedal, never had a problem with EBC stuff, other than the reds ripping apart the discs

:D

yep, Green stuff being only a little bit better than Lucas etc. (OEM) .

I'm defo going for some Ferodo DS2500 pads when the Green stuff EBC's are gone. Not too harsh on the discs, perfect

The main advantage of the EBC Greens is that the brake-dust will not eat in to your rims !

Red stuff are ceramic based and are excellent how ever they do require warming before they bite properly. but if u guys loook None of the Pads other than the Yellowstuff pads are for track use the Red and Green pads cant take the heat.
