ECU brace bar

Hi guys just a quick one, the bar that holds the one side of the ECU can this be removed? Has anyone done this? Cheers Andy
 
I did have it removed only two screws can only see that it gives the ECU a bit of support.
 
Yeah that's what I thought might take mine out see what happens, every little helps with weight save right ha
