ecu loom after fitting standalone

Hi all im looking into tidying up my engine bay on my vag clio it runs stand alone and the std ecu plug has been left in. How much can i cut this back without causing issues

No the old ecu is gone i still have the uch working but the renualt ecu has gone

Well in that case just trace back the wiring from the redundant ecu plug and see where it goes to. I'd imagine they've spliced into the original wiring to save re-looming it all entirely.

Best thing to do is if your not sure, don't cut the wire that short that you can't rejoin it and use heat shrink crimp connectors. It'll reduce the chances of water getting in and f**king the job up.
