ECU Mapping

  2005 Audi A3 3.2 Quattro

Andy, how smooth did the install go? any problems with the wiring and setup?

Ive got a smt6 chip at home which may or may not go into the 172.

183 bhp at 6500, and a smoothed out drive.... plenty of fuel all over the map...

car was down on standard power, so about 20 bhp top end, but we mapped it for more mid range power not top end... also the torque was up... quite a lot.

takes a while to map, worth the effort though

thats my old one..

totally forgot, the car has still got cats..... so power is down a little on what we could have got.

Just as a point of interest Andy...If the SMT-6 had featured full support for lambda sensors would you have been able to do more?

Im asking because I have a SMT-6 ready to go into my 172 but there is a local version of the SMT-6 called FMR1 which is a modified SMT-6 (has the ability to enable closed loop lambda on non lambda cars if you fit a lambda, as well as the ability to mod with the lambda on cars which already have a lambda)

Andy, you said torque was up quite a lot. this is more what i am interested in. could you quantify your torque increase for me plz? cheers, rick

Andy, iv been saying for months now about needing to get the car unichiped, just been trying to save some cash for it! But...iv been thinking for the past few weeks that I might come and see u for one of these instead! Im after a proper fully mapped jobbie, like this or unichip.

Cars got 258 cams, headwork, manifold, and a few other bits, but im running standard ECU. Its running spot on, and always produces decent power on the RRs but im sure theres more in it yet!!

Have u done many valvers? if so, good results?

And remind me where u are again mate? cheers very much!

Adams, am same as you. been considering a Unichip aswell, but 170 lb ft is an impressive increase in torque for an N/A engine.

Andy, you got a price list?

dont forget all engines produce slightly different results... this is a 172 as well....

I was also very happy with torque of this one... (as is the customer) although he does want a quieter exhaust!!!

best call me for a chat guys, so we can go through the best options. etc etc
