Clio Dynamique 1.4 16V
I have finally fitted my springs on Saturday morning with some help of a friend.
Took us about an hour to do each front strut including a break for bacon butties.
and about 45 mins to do the back.
Took it out for a spin and could definable notice the difference. and loved it.
BUT, then my m8 said that if i could start his new lotus elise then i could take it for a spin..... after setting the alarm off and falling on the floor trying to get in i managed to start it before the immobiliser kicked in.
OMG i want one now. struggled to get it out of the parking space with its fat tyres, small steering wheel and lack of power steering. oh and my car was parked behind as i was reversing it.
When i got it on the road it was phenomenal!!!
foot touched the accelerator and before i knew what happened i was at 40MPH on a small sideroad.
but once i got over the mind-blowing acceleration the steering is fantastic sooo responsive and the thing corners like nothing ive been in before.
such a fast steering rack. 90degree corner without breaking.
and the sound of the thing. i didn't break 3K revs and apparently at 8k the variable valves kick in.
soo im looking forward till he takes it on a track cause he said i could take it out
The point i was getting to is that the suspension on that thing was soo hard and gives too much feedback, that now mine feels soft again!!
