Eibach sportlines.

Hi all, apologies in advance if this thread already exists, just I couldn't find it.
Im looking to lower the clio and I don't want to go down the coilover route. All I want to achieve is getting rid of pretty much all the arch gap (I am running the standard 16" 172 alloys)
Has anybody got any pictures of their sports running sportlines and preferably the standard 16" alloys?

Thanks mate I will have a look through it. My issue is I don't want to ruin the ride and handling but I want it pretty low (to the point it looks nice! I hate arch gaps)
I know apex springs look good, but the ride is harsh :/

You won't ruin the handling. It's an improvement n my opinion, I like a stiff car though.

Eibach springs are awesome. But if you want a little bit lower, go for the new Cooksport springs.

I've had Sportlines and now Cooksports and the Cookports sit better and imo handle better plus they're cheaper!

If you want lowz then eibachs will disappoint.

Il get some cook sports then. The main reason I asked about eibachs is because I know somebody Selling a set of them - but il give them a miss now!

Sportlines will drop around 30-35mm , very good springs and progressively wound so you get a decent ride and an improvement in handling.

Russ tbh I wouldn't say they drop that much. The cooksports IMO are better, and I've had both

Cooksports lower 25mm and 30mm iirc guessing front is 30. So if Russ is correct then I'm confused as to which go lower lol.

It's odd as I've just fitted sportlines to the civic and the drop is noticeable and I must say it rides better than oem

Sportlines improved the handling from standard. Drop isn't huge though but I didn't fit them for that purpose.

The cooksport springs are meant to be great though. I'd have had some myself but they wasn't out at the time

Just after fitting so they dropped some more like in the first pic with TD's on.

Sportlines do give a drop of around 30mm need a little while to settle

Nothing wrong with the cooksports as I have heard good things, I just haven't experienced them yet so I can't comment.

Sportlines I have had as well as prolines and rate them highly from experience.

That was the same with my 172. They do drop, just not quite as much as the cooksports.

What are those 'Amax' springs that renparts sell like? Haven't heard much about them on the forum? They drop 40mm

Just a quick update to this thread, in the end I went with cooksports and it was the best idea. Ride is spot on and handles like its on rails - amazing upgrade.

I didn't no. I was extremely lucky as somebody was selling a set which were a month old for £100. I put a deposit in immediately and he lived fairly local so went and collected the following day. Very very happy with them and rate them extremely highly.

Thanks Luke if you want to see the difference in person il be at CSS this weekend - pictures don't really do it justice tbh. For the drop being 25mm front 30mm rear, it's gone down a lot more then I was expecting. Looks spot on!
