Electrical faults and ECU light on

My girlfriend has a problem with her MK2 1.0 Clio. Whilst driving home the other day the indicators stopped working, closely followed by the headlamps. Then the front wipers started working, even though the switch was in the off position. She got home and parked up. Now the car won't start and the engine management light is on. It will turn over. Wipers are still on, and the central locking isn't working. I'm hoping that with a list of faults like this someone can point to what it is. Will be getting the fault codes read a some point this week, all been well.

You should start by checking the vehicles internal and external earth points but the most important question I have for you is does the car have any problems with water leaking in to the cabin?

Other than the usual condensation for this time of year, the cabin is free of any leaks. I'll check the earth points though.
