Electronic air intake query

Right I'm looking to tune up my clio mk 2 a friend of mine placed a electronic fan of such onto his air intake and connected to his throttle plus an added k&n air filter. He gained a lot of extra bhp from this problem is he did it on a corsa and I want to do it to mine does anyone know how to go about getting one ?

I think your mates on the wind up, what you just said reminds me of when I got sent to the wholesalers for a long stand during my apprenticeship. You've fell for it.
If anything like that was possible to give 'lots more bhp' to your car most 1.2l's on this site would have it done including my own.

With the volume of air being sucked into the engine, the fan would probably lose you power by causing an obstruction to the flow. Electric fans are never going to give you more power no matter what your mate or eBay sellers say. Lol

No your mate didnt gain power doing that, in fact it's far more likely he actually lost power.

Unless the fan has 15mm thick cables running to it and has a motor driving it the size of a lorry starter motor.

I know someone who works in engine development for a major car manufacturer who have been investing in this technology and the size of components needed to make it work is huge, not a computer cooling fan like the ones on eBay use.

Better tuning results would come from drilling holes in the airbox and folding the rear seats
