Elf 10w40 semi synth

as above....is it available to buy in the shops, if so what shops normally have it?? Used to use Castrol Magnatec sh*te from Halfords in my valver but made the engine soooo clucky and noisey. Had a service about 4 moths back and the above oil is what they used. just wanted to top it up but didnt really wanna mix 2 types together.

Any ideas??

Why not just get some elf excellium 5w40 full synthetic?

Ive just had the 18k service done on my 1.2 16v and its running better than ever with that oil in, i know your 1.8 16v and my 1.2 are totally different but it may do the trick mate?

The 5w-40 is the same as the 10w-40 it just gives better cold start protection.............and its fully synthetic.

I dont know of anywhere you can just buy it other than Total butler and the minimum order is 24lts and it costs £69 inc vat and delivery.

Yep thats where i got mine too, some dealers will tell you they cant supply, but thats a load of b*lls as they can order it in for you no problem.

i bought loads cos it was dirt cheap about 2.50 a litre, but they were selling it off.

got some from Reno today (my dad did anyway, I was still in bed). think he said it was about £3.75 a litre.
