ELF NFX smell

Random one but need a bit of reassurance.

Filled up the Trophys gearbox with elf nfx - first time ive used it and noted no cats piss smell like the old nfp/nfj. Im used to the smell of gear oil absolutely assaulting my nostrils but it hardly smelt of anything.

Is this normal or is It potentially snide? I used a verified seller but never say never i guess.

When I filled the gearbox on my track car I flushed it first and neither the OEM oil or the Fuchs had a bad smell TBH. Wonder if they have toned it down a but as I would guess it was an additive, so maybe its changed.

I've got some at home, i'll check later.

Don't remember it smelling too bad when i did the Megane last year.

Yeah when I used it on my Meg it didn't have quite the same horrid smell

Didn’t notice any smell when I filled my box up last month.

Thought the same when I recently used some, but didn’t think anything of it as bought from KAM
