Engin help!!!!!

I have a whining coming from engine has anyone got any ideas and has anyone had same problem.

Idle tensioners most likly or cambelt ones.

Can you give any more information does it depend on RPM only when cold when foot down on clutch etc.

When its idaling or evern running dont matter what rpm just does it all time

Does the car feel nay slower what sort of milage etc has it got cambelt done etc?

No differance in speed and only done 40 000

I had this on my valver. Gearbox went a few days later. Well I say it went, more like the whining got a lot louder and I soon noticed that a whole had appeared in the bottom of the box causing it to lose all its oil.

Its defiantly not the gearbox its 1 of the pulleys or alternator
