engine advice needed.

hi folks.
i'm looking for an engine and box for my 2001 'Y' reg clio.
1.2 16 valve. headgasket has gone and now the clutch is slipping.!!
am i right in thinking i should just go for a replacement engine and does it have to be another 1.2 or would 1.4, 1.6 drop in.?
any info/advice appreciated.
my first car and only had it bout 4 months.!!!

You can fit a 1.4 or 1.6 or 2.0 engine, but you need a full conversion kit that includes engine, box, loom, uch and key.
Insurance will be a pig as its you 1st car.
