Engine bay washing

this may be in the wrong section, but does anyone know if it is safe to jet wash the engine bay in an Impreza?

Modern engines are fine. Just keep your distance with the jet washer and cover up any electrical bits with carrier bags.

You will get replys saying that its not safe but its down to personal preferance. If your careful with it then it does no harm. I have always used the jet wash on my bay.

should be fine so longs as you avoid spraying directly at the air box/leads bits like that
