ok,u guys have lovely shiney engines but mine needs a bit of tlc. iv only had it 2 months and i want to put it rite. i wanna clean it up but dont know how? it seems like a bit of corrosian on cover,any advice would be apreciated!
 
A steam clean is always good.. but make sure you wrap up any sensitive electronics and leave the engine running.

Try and aim any jets of steam etc away from belts and electrical connectors...

Other than that- theres plenty of good quality engine dressing products on the market- I dont personally use anything than elbow grease and usual stuff.... Engine is usually under the bonnet and not seen.

Don't jet wash engines bays the electronics arn't good at the bst of the times that goes for any car realy IMO.
