i have raced MANY MANY big bhp FWD cars in a straight line. The best being a saxo VTS with a S/C. up to 80-90 i was in front then we stopped racing. if we had a rolling start upto 100 it would sh*t on me but otherwise he was struggling for traction. I have only raced Adis williams engined clio in the wet but up to around 60-70 i was infront simply because of power delivery/grip. the power delivery of a 5 GTT engine in a clio will destroy quick take offs, putting power down out of corners and general driveabilty. I would go as far as saying that once my williams engine has been dropped in, with front strut and coiovers, i will be able to match if not beat 200+BHP R5s simply through power delivery and cornering.
