engine cut out,on my valver

it cut out on me the other day and it jus wont start.
at first i thought it was dizzy cap or rotar arm but after changing them i stil had no spark.
the car turns but wont kick in.

some mentioned the crank sensor, but does any1 have any ideas.

no mate, already checked. thats why ive posted on here cause its really doin my head in.

Probably the ignition module or the crank sensor from what you said, I presume there is no spark at the king lead given what you have changed?

If you have a multimeter check the voltage across the crank sensor it should be around about 250ohms iirc.

i swapped coil packs wit my other valver and it stil didnt fire but i relised i cant hear the fuel pump prime up when i turn the ignition.
no rear seats so easy to hear.

That would certainly explain it not starting lol. Is it sparking OK in that case then?

this is the most puzzling thing, it aint sparking and the fuel pump aint priming up, and a call to some1 wit a bit more knowlegdable more than me says if it aint crank sensor which he doubts it is gonna b something electrical i.e ignition.

Sounds pretty strange if its not priming or sparking. Try asking over on retro-renault.co.uk
