Engine cutting out!

Hi guys

I have a 1999 MK2 PH1 Renault Clio 1.6 and the engine cuts out when its cold but dont cut out when reaches the correct engine temperature when warmed up. I have to sometimes leave the car running with my foot on the accelerator holding it at 1 or 2 thousand RPM and wait for it to reach the correct temperature before I can take my foot off. If I take my foot anytime before, it will cut out but I can take my foot off and leave the engine to idle on its own when reached the right temperature.

Any suggestions of what could be wrong?

Could be a simple issue with the IACV needing a clean. It could also be CTS or Ho2 related.
