Engine cutting out

Basically for two days in a row now I have been stuck in traffic and my engine has cut out. I have usually been for at least 10 mins so the engine is warm. When i am idling it will cut out. When I go to start it, it will turn over but wot start, it usually takes three attempts for the engine to start but then it will run with no problems.Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks

As above, 100% Crank Sensor failure.... text book at that!

Thanks for the reply! Do you reckon cleaning it will be enough or fitting a new one?

They're about £15-£20 but giving it a clean can sort them out, but then if it was giving up then you might be stuck in the middle of nowhere when it does fail.
