right, finally got my bonnet open on the renault 19, and im a little concerned, as i found a information sticker with the letters F6R on, was wondering if any renault technical bods can look into what engine i should have fitted

i was under the impression that it would be the F7 engine as opposed to the F6

if you can help in any way, pm me and ill return the pm with the car details (reg, chassis no etc)

look at the front of block(under inlet manifold, next to gearbox). theres a metal tag riveted onto the face of the block. it should begin with f7...

if the three digit code ends in R, then that means ur running a 2litre. the number refers to the combustion ype of the engine, diesel, hemispherical burn, etc
